We're posting a photograph of a cyclist each day showing the real face of cycling in Nelson. We want to show that cyclists are not a particular 'type' of person; people cycle for many different reasons but they want their decision to cycle to be respected and they want to cycle safely.

From 'midwife' to 'my wife'. It's our wedding anniversary today so it seems fitting to have my wife of 18 years as the Face of the Day. Ros is a recent cycle commuter and it would be fair to say it's taken some encouragement (and an electric bike) to convince her of the benefits of cycling. Please look after her (and of course all our other cyclists); You never know when you might need a surgeon.
