I saw Emma cycling across the roundabout in front of me. What really caught my eye was what looked like a dog riding on the handlebars. I wasn't sure if I'd seen this right so I rode after the bike and caught up at the supermarket. Sure enough, sitting on his custom made handle bar box (complete with the words 'Mad Dog' painted on the front) was Rupert, Emma's 12 year old dog. Rupert looked quite at home on a bike, probably because he's been cycling since he was 6 months old apparently. Emma told me he also rides on her Vespa and motorbike too.
