When it's raining it's certainly more difficult to photograph a cyclist for the Face of the Day- There are still plenty of people about who do brave the elements but what is the most difficult is gathering the courage to ask somebody to stop in the rain and be photographed when you know all they really want to do is get to wherever they're going without getting more wet than they need to. Today I'd just finished buying a pie (standard cycling food) when I saw Nadia cycling past with her son in tow. I caught up with them at the lights and despite the rain and a tired child, Nadia agreed to be the face of the day showing yet again what a friendly bunch of people cyclists are. Her son Kingston was quite cosy in the trailer until I opened up the rain cover - this was as close as I got to a smile then.
